Dr. Dan Poticny believes smiles can be maintained for a lifetime through the use of conservative, preventive dental techniques. The correct use of state-of-the-art technologies can afford people of every age beautiful, healthy teeth.

He is internationally known as one of the world's leading experts on use of CAD/CAM ceramic restorative dentistry. He is co-founder for the Southwest Center for Advanced Clinical Studies, 21st Century Practice Solutions, and the "Fully Integrated Practice" which is an on-line education portal for dentists interested in advanced dental technologies and their use in the treatment of patients.

As a pioneer in the use of high-tech techniques he has made a difference in the quality of life for his patients as it relates to their oral health. Dr. Poticny knows that today's technology can afford a patient naturally appearing dental restorations that spare as much of the natural tooth as possible often times elimating the need for crowns, which are used commonly when there is not enough supporting tooth structure for a traditional filling. Utilizing CAD/CAM technology most teeth can be treated by the removal and replacement of only the diseased portion. By using high quality ceramics many teeth can be restored to a natural appearance without the use of metal which many patients find to be undesirable. These techniques are now receiving widespread interest within the profession of dentistry. Owing to his experience he is widely recognized by his peers as a leading educator and mentor to the profession having educated thousands on a worldwide basis making him highly sought as a speaker and mentor. This recognition and expertise is also a reason why many of Dr. Poticny's patients travel from all over the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and beyond to seek his services.

Dr. Poticny is also widely published on a variety of dental topics in both national and international dental journals and publications. He also is active in clinical research at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry (Ann Arbor, MI). He has presented, lectured, and educated in 44 states, Canada, Mexico, and Australia to a variety of dentists and dental organizations, conferences, and dental institutions in addition to being the first dentist in the United States to perform live patient treatment at a major dental conference.

Dr. Poticny is a graduate of The Ohio State University and the Baylor College of Dentistry. He is fellow of the Academy of Compuerized Dentistry and a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Dallas County Dental Society, International Association for Dental Research, the Academy of Computerized Dentistry, and holds a teaching certificate from the International Society of Computerized Dentistry.

Candy A. Hill RDH

Candy has been practicing dental hygiene since 1994. Candy is current on the all the latest techniques to enable you to keep your teeth for a lifetime. Using the latest diagnostic tools such as intra-oral cameras and low powered sonic cleaning devices she provides routine preventive and extensive needs preiodontal (gum) care that is is thorough yet extremely comfortable, even for patients with sensitive teeth. Like Dr. Poticny she practices with the aid of magnification to insure that your dental hygiene needs are the best and most thorough possible as a co-diagnostician with Dr. Poticny. She is what we call "world class" when it comes to her profession and our patients overwhelmingly agree.

Sherry L. Pierce-Deluna

Sherry is the business manager and will cheerfully be able to aid you with insurance and payment options. Sherry has had extensive experience in banking and dentistry and is adept in helping you obtain treatment through the management of your dental benefits and payment options including financing if needed. Professional and thorough, you can be sure that no detail will be overlooked when managing your account.

Melanie D. Chiles CDA

Melanie could be best named "Ms. Energy" as she is always smiling and eager to please. She has been Dr. Poticny's clinical assistant since 2003 and is the lead clinical assitant for our practice. She is adept at aiding patients understand their treatment options, assisting treatment in tandem with Dr. Poticny, and providing patients with a sense of comfort and well- being no matter the circumstance. She is a certified extended duties dental assistant.

Stephanie A. Peak-Yancy CDA

Stephanie has over 20 years of clinical experience in dentistry. She splits time between the front and back office assuring the day runs smoothly and patient needs are being met whether for an appointment or assisting Dr. Poticny with patient treatment. Polite and professional she listens well and always is cognizant of our patients' comfort. She too is an expanded duties dental assistant.
